MISSE JOSQUIN

We are so honored to be part of the prestigious Alamire Foundation’s project: MISSE JOSQUIN, 12 docu-concerts on the Masses of Josquin des Prez, with brand new performances by top-ensembles and the latest musicological research on each Mass. On March 29 and 30 they were officially presented in Rome during a congress, concert, and the official handing over of the first copy to Pope Francis by Jan Jambon, Minister-President of Flanders. 500 years of Josquin and 30 years of the Alamire Foundation won’t go unnoticed! You can watch them for free on www.alamire.tv. Enjoy!

Our artistic director Lionel Meunier will be chatting along live!

PURCELL’S THE FAIRY QUEEN WITH UNIQUE VISUAL CREATION

Vox Luminis brings the enchanting story of The Fairy Queen to life in a new production. The ensemble thus writes a second chapter in its Purcell triptych, following the successful King Arthur series with concerts in Belgium, the Netherlands, Great Britain and France. The Fairy Queen draws its inspiration from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a piece that also strongly stimulates the visual imagination. The brilliant voices of Vox Luminis will resound amongst a spirited shadow play balancing between reality and subconsciousness, a new project by artistic director Lionel Meunier and scenographer Emilie Lauwers, in cooperation with dramaturge Isaline Claeys and filmmaker Mário Melo Costa.

Performances in Barcelona, Oviedo and Bruges. More info in the Agenda
