Vox Luminis brings the enchanting story of The Fairy Queen to life in a new production. The ensemble thus writes a second chapter in its Purcell triptych, following the successful King Arthur series with concerts in Belgium, the Netherlands, Great Britain and France. The Fairy Queen draws its inspiration from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a piece that also strongly stimulates the visual imagination. The brilliant voices of Vox Luminis will resound amongst a spirited shadow play balancing between reality and subconsciousness, a new project by artistic director Lionel Meunier and scenographer Emilie Lauwers, in cooperation with dramaturge Isaline Claeys and filmmaker Mário Melo Costa.

In August, we performed at the Laus Polyphoniae festival in AMUZ. This year marked the 500th anniversary of Josquin des Prez’ death. We had the opportunity to sing the Missa L’homme armé super voces musicales. It is the second mass that Josquin composed using the famous melody L’homme armé.
