Vox Luminis is a multi-faceted ensemble. Indeed, over the last few years, its contours have broadened to some extent. In 2022, the ensemble created Vox Luminis XL in response to an artistic desire to embody programmes of variable geometry, and also to meet a demand for larger productions. Vox Luminis XL offers audiences programmes that are both ambitious and singular, such as a 40-voice programme based on T. Tallis’s Spem in alium. Through Vox Luminis XL, the ensemble also touches on the more classical, even romantic, repertoires to demonstrate how they are rooted both in the music of the Renaissance as in that of Bach and his contemporaries. This new version of the ensemble works exclusively in collaboration with historically informed and prestigious European orchestras, such as the B’Rock Orchestra (B), oh! Orkiestra (PL) and others still to come. This approach also allows the ensemble to welcome new vocalists who hold great promise for the future of Vox Luminis.
